If you know the armor has been dropped by a L87+ monster which can drop from TC87 as well (bosses, their minions and champions in L85 areas, bosses and their minions in L84 areas, Baal, a few act 5 superuniques - not Diablo, Pindle, Shenk, Eldritch and in particular not Mephisto), it has a chance of 1 in 12 to be Tyraels, else it's always Templars.
The only two monster that rank that high are Baal and Nihlathak.
